christina has no control sometimes, when shes focused shes amazing. cyndi is amazing i have yet to hear a vocal by cyndi is bad. cyndi to me is the only singer that covered at last that and took it vocally to a place it never went she blew me away.

WOW all these crazy Christina fans made me so embarressed to be her fan after reading their comments! How shameful of you! I'm 27 but LOVE 80's music so I know about 80's music and Cyndi was MASSIVE! She was known for more than her music and style she as known for her vocal talents! Don't diss an artist just because you don't know their musical history...that shows me how uneducated you are and know nothing about music history, or Cyndis! She WAS the 80's Christina!

I HOPE they make a movie about Cyndi...Christina looks like her so much sometimes she could play her! My all time fave two female singers!!! Love them both to bits! Two voices that are amazing!

Cyndi still sounds great today. She just turned 57 and released a blues album. For any of you that doubt her vocal abilities, do a search for "Cyndi Lauper Don't Cry No More" and there is a live performance from Toronto where she just nails it and the crowd goes nuts. If you get a chance to see her live, by all means do so; word is she sounds better than ever.

While people were always comparing Christina to Whitney and Mariah I have always thought of her as the Cyndi Lauper of her generation especially considering that she too had an infamous rivalry with a more energetic but less of a vocalist performer Britney Spears who was considered the new Madonna at one point. Weird how time repeats itself.
