"My friends were like, 'Oh man, you've got the herpes!' and I'm like, 'No I don't have herpes. Please don't joke that I have herpes.'" An 18 yr old describes the difficulty in managing eczema while in college. Although it is incurable, he shares tricks on how to avoid flare-ups and how to manage it through cold, dry weather.

  • I fucking hate having eczema, I'm 26, never had it before, and now all of a sudden I've got it on my scalp, legs elbows and my PALMS which is SOOO fucking bad.

I really think I would give up a limb just to get rid of this shit forever.

And fuck the stupid doctors too because they just want to give me more skin-thinning steroids and a greazy moisturizer. Fuck.

  • Eczema is worse then acne :(

  • Eczema has been torturing my life since I was 4 or 5. I am now 19 y.o. and I fucking hate eczema. I occasionally become depressed and have been avoiding parties and all those social gatherings because of it. My dermatologist prescribes me all those shits and keeps telling me that it will go away for good and I'll be like, "Oh my god, dude, be realistic. There's no cure for this freakin thing."

So my youth can be pretty much summed up in four words: a hell of shit.

  • @ThePokerfacemama yup, i avoid using shampoos, though even after that my skin is way too dry. yogurt ? i think i'll try it, thank you:)

  • @dysproosium I just got it at 35 after giving birth. I never had it my whole life but I have hand eczema just like you. You need your hands to do just about everything and I have sores all over them. Try avoiding shampoos and skin products with paraben and sodium laurelite. Also, eating yogurt helps.

  • @junkbx3r It's hard for me to respect the field of dermatology when they know so little about eczema and yet there are so many cases. I hate being handed a steroid cream as a solution. That does not "cure" it. Well, I hope they do a much better job with detecting skin cancers because they don't have my respect when it comes to eczema.

  • Cure your eczema for free, no doctors, no dermatologists, no creams, no lotions or potions. WATER!! I water fasted for three days straight, itching the whole time. On the second day I noticed the itch was not as severe, it was just a dry itch. 4th day I introduced salads to my diet. I am on week two now and can eat a 3 unhealthy meals without itching but i want this gone for good so i am sticking to a green diet for a little longer. Oh and my skin is now completely eczema free. First time in 6mo

  • @DontBeAfraidToCare looooooooooool
