@ListWritingMachine Its called contagion and when one country slows down, so do others. With our ever growing communication, contagion occurs much faster than before.

@yomamasapeach China has way too many problems. China is too dependent on exports from the US and other western countries so when they are slowing down China`s got nothing except for a bunch of people without work. The US will remain the world power for a bit longer.

@Deathfromabove5 Well, at least you could call black people "niggers" back then.
Anyway, I think racism isn't that bad in a case of my homeland, Finland. Those Somalis and Romanies who come here to beg some money on the street. Then those who do better, have an apartment and so on fuck our ladies and soon this country is full of half black- half Finnish people and thats bad. They should get the fuck off... not all, those beggars and criminals should and maybe 50% of others.

@flaviothebrazilian You forgot your pills?
@elderaarondavis1 New York in 1956 was the largest most powerful economic and cultural engine the world had seen since Ancient Rome. London, Paris, and Amsterdam had their day but, no where near as good as New York had it. I believe 10% of the world's economic activity was in New York at its peak. Not to mention the massive cultural influence of New York and its population was the largest, its people the richest, its skyline the highest, its port the largest, I can go on...

Damn, they brought up Harlem without mentioning black people. Stay classy, 1950s.
