Includes induced perturbations to test recovery from aerodynamic impulses, and the telescopic legs extending at the end. We were ready to free-flight after this test, but a two-hour FAA hold would have put us too late in the day. Will probably try for the free flight later today.
This is incredible. Hovering in place is impressive enough. I was stunned to see the vehicle maintain an upright orientation while shifting from side to side with a single vectored thrust setup.
Is the software to do that well-known or is it unique to AA?

That is a very cool looking vehicle! The extendable legs are neat.

Congratulations guys!
I admit that the legs seem a bit too short to me even when extended. Wouldn't the nozzle be very close to the ground during landing?
Anyway, please post more frequent updates if you find the time.
