People know that drugs and alcohol can be dangerous and still not care.There are people who will want listen to God's commandments and people who could care less and wanna do their own thing and go by their own philosophies. JWs don't want to "tweak" Bible priciples to please or appeal to society. The "truth"should appeal to honesthearted ones. Even God knows not very one will do whats right. They are helping people to learn about "God's Kingdom" and about the physical changes it will bring to the world in the near future(Rev. 21:4,5) which is what Jesus preached to others. The only way a person can get a chance to live in this "new earth", is by learning about Jehovah and Jesus, setting an example by their lifestyle, and helping others to gain that accurate knowledge.
