  • that made me laugh, Tundrs garbage in evey way possible.

  • i highly doubt that seeing as how it says "actual demonstration" at the bottom of the screen. i dont think Ford would want to risk getting a steep fine from the FCC for false advertising if the test wasnt real, lol

  • @colindhowell i am a huge f150 fan, i own one and they stop on a dime faster than a 2010 malibu but the commercial is insane the plane was probably only at a crawl.

  • To make your F-150 even cooler, just take the 0 off the end, and then it's a Ford F-15.

  • @matthewgleason75 So if it can stop from 60 mph in under 100 feet, assuming the truck weighs around 5000 pounds, I'd guess it might need around half a mile to stop itself and the 40,000-pound airplane from 100 mph. At least the kinetic energy would be around 25 times greater, and I'm assuming stopping distance would be proportional to that.

  • @babydoll101689 I think you're assuming the problem is harder than it really is. This isn't stopping a fully-loaded jumbo jet of 250-500 tons at 150 mph, but a 20-ton airplane ("30,000 pounds" is a bit of an underestimate) at around 100 mph. A fully-loaded semi-truck is twice that weight. And braking technology has improved a lot since the 1950s, when this plane was built. The only question is how long it took to stop--I'm sure it was much longer than normal.

  • Three people drive Import "wannabe" , wish it was a F-150, trucks. LOL!!

  • 3 people cant stop one.... since they drive.. dodge, chevy, and Japanese

  • well at least we know we can stop one.. F150 Drivers!!!

  • @babydoll101689 dude fords have really good brakes. the new ones can stop from 60 mph in less than 100ft. and like joe said "dont think Ford would want to risk getting a steep fine from the FCC for false advertising if the test wasnt real". thats very true
