What were the people of Alaska thinking? Murkowski gave a straight answer to the actual question. She deflected the first question and the follow-up question. I understand that politicians do that a lot, but here it's not necessary. He asked about certain rights and benefits, not full-on marriage. She was either dumb enough to get it confused, or she made the shady implication that certain rights for gays=full on marriage.
