It would more feasible to find a used supercharged 3.8 from a scrapped car at a junkyard. You can't just put in a supercharger on a regular 3.8. You need to change the top end of the engine, the harnesses as well as upgrade to a HD transmission.

why 91 Octane?.....i've never heard of this car requiring premium fuel.

Because this particular olds has the supercharged 3800 in it. Not many LSS had them, so that's probably why you never heard of it requiring premium fuel. The 3800 S/C is a high compression engine that needs a premium fuel to run right. I tried to run it on 87 to see what it would happen...not good. Engine pinged that crazy

I average about 19-20mpg. Its very good for a car of this size.
