Westward Television closedown announcement 11th Aug 1981 mock review, critique of cwilliams1976

CWilliams1976 is known for injecting his terrible mocks into the YouTube-iverse as though they are real. When you're doing a search for some vintage TV clips, it's intensely annoying when you hit the play button, only to hear the grating and constantly pausing pseudo-posh tones of CWilliams, or "Christopher Williams of Stockport" as a particularly amusing 'tribute' video revealed him as.

This is one of his utterly disasterous attempts at portraying the mood of Westward's buy-out by Television South West, all done with precisely five still images, the lameness of Windows Movie Maker and Christopher standing at the mic with no script to speak of. You'll see more animation in Roger Ramjet.

Plenty of contradicting commentary, and hopeless optimism to describe Westward's non-existant future. It's six and a half minutes of pain, but we've thrown in our own mini-surprise towards the end, just to alleviate the agony for you.

5 minute continuity announcements, 11 minute holding slides set in a day and age where they no longer exist, and a lack of the word "Mock" in the title disappointing TV Pres fans that they've found an awesome clip only to find things like this.

Arguably cruel, but I find this to be a very good video. No offence, cwilliams1976, but it's time you realised how annoying these videos can be sometimes.
