Wind tunnel testing and time trialing are the best way to test aerodynamic wheels. Wind tunnels help us understand and precisely quantify the impact of different design solutions on our wheels and time trial testing provides us feedback in real world racing conditions with real rider sensations. anyone who knows anything about aerodynamic testing will tell you the tunnel is too big for a bike test as you cant create a balance in this size of tunnel and all you can do is a smoke test which is useless. As soon as you go out on the road and the wind yaw is say 6' it will blow you all over the place. Those wheels are only good in a straight line with zero wind and how often does that happen

@bikemaninchina You're totally right. It's important to test wheels at different Yaw angles and to balance these results with field measurements. That's why I suggest that you have a look at our video presenting our R&D work on aero (it's available on our channel).

so just what are they testing? see any actual test seems more like a BS video of Millar being paid to walk into a wind tunnel without any wind and make it look like they are actually testing something
