U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke is urging Congress and the Obama administration to come up with a strategy to reduce record-high budget deficits. In congressional testimony Wednesday, Bernanke said failure to curb the deficit could threaten the nation's economic recovery. VOA's Robert Raffaele has more.

  • He said the budget in the LONG RUN must be balanced. NOT NOW. Bernanke is pro budget deficits in a recession.

    Guys... if it wasn't for the fed the economy would be much worse without the bailouts, which we shouldn't forget had many parts which were paid back.
