In Europe disco isn't ridiculed anymore. It's become accepted as an innovative style of dance music which continues to influence people today. Since the late 90s you can see it's influence in so many acts like Sissor Sisters, La Roux, Spice Girls (Who do you think you are), Jamiroquai, George Michael (Outside), Elton John (Are you ready for love), Sophie Ellis Bextor (Take Me Home). Disco will never die. And in an era of American idol crap it's no longer viable to ridicule it!

@nexusmeister You got it my friend! Yeah, on SIRIUS 70's station, they have disco music every Saturday night and a local station does the same thing and they normally just play pop music, yowza! When roller skates come back, I'll be ready ;)
