Women have a right to their OWN body but not the growing baby's body... When you are pregnant, you have a 3rd party growing inside of you. By physically denying a child to grow, you destroy its rights.

Just because people are irresponsible, doesn't mean you have to give in to their irresponsibility.

I believe a woman should have an abortion IF & ONLY IF the situation calls for it i.e. she got raped OR she was medically unable to sustain the fetus. Basically, it should be used if it's absolutely neccessary. It should NEVER be used as a form of birth control. Yes women it is YOUR choice but that doesn't mean you should make an irresponsible or an ill-advised choice. Plan ahead carefully & KNOW what you want BEFORE you do anything.

the thalidamide issue comes down that thalidamide does not kill the baby it deforms it. giving life to a deformed child. if you asked the doctor if she would prescribe an abortion pill cuz it kills the child not causing pain or deformaties

It's really easy to beat an argument that does not exist. I've never met a person who was pro-abortion. I've never heard one single person who was pro-abortion. Oh......I get it. You pretend those people exist then start calling pro-choice people pro-abortion and "bam" Wow! Good thing you aren't out there in favor of pro-honesty. Let me ask you all something. I'm pro in the middle, and mostly for choice but I think around 9 months should be the limit, I say if the fetus and can't feel anything, I'm all for it before it becomes too human. Rape, incest, a threat to the mother's health, should be some of the exceptions.

Why keep abortions rare? Cost, both economic and psychological.

Whether or not religion is "right", there is a cost. Whether that cost is outweighed by the consequences of delivering a child is the deciding principle.

The government's job is to protect rights- not make decisions regarding moral issues. Spousal abuse, of course, ought to be banned so that one's individual rights can be preserved. Because a fetus is an unborn entity, it cannot trump the individual rights of the woman, and cannot claim the same rights as the specimen that's responsible for its tangible existence in the womb.
