@Fustikia This group of songs were published by Berg himself in 1928, in both versions with piano accompaniment and with full orchestra.

Do not miss the splendid renditions of these splendid songs (also taped live) by Cheryl Studer, just uploaded to my channel. Audio only.
-
I find the voice overpowering compared to the orchestra. Who engineered this - and would they like to have another try? Hm?

Thank you so very much, this is absolute perfection. Thank you again so very much.
-
Berg composed them originally with piano, the arrangement for orchestra was made when he was already composing in the so-called atonal style. These early songs were part of the portfolio he showed to Schoenberg. Needless to say, he saw great potential and took him as a pupil. Berg was nineteen at the time.

Are these songs originally composed for piano and voice or for orchestra and voice??

Several people drew my attention to this, and I am doing my best to find it.
