Footage of both going home after the final day of the airshow back in '96. Concorde back to Heathrow & the A340 to Toulouse. Awesome sound from both! Check out the wing waggle/wave from the A340!!

My uncle designed the nose lifting mechanism for the Concorde!

Concorde was unique.....came from anorther planet and had not and will never will competitors....she was miles and miles ahead of the other planes.

Read the book "Supersonic Secrets" for reasons of why Concorde died. Revenues had fallen, but AF nearly had another accident with it en route to NYC. Sad its gone though.

BUT IT DIDN'T!!! So many people get it wrong.

AIrbus wanted to spend time and money in more profitable places so hiked the prices to maintain it up. Air France never made a profit so it pulled out. BA had made a good profit, but it had seen better day. AF and Airbus pulled BA with them. This took place 3 years after the crash.
