I agree. Hurt Locker was overrated and unrealistic. Avatar was much better in my opinion. Who cares if its giant blue smurfs? It was fantastic!

Avatar did get screwed over pretty badly. I mean come on, real time motion capture, a film that is not based on any pre-existing media (seriously, THAT is a rarity nowadays) and with so much attention to detail, the Na'vi say sky people cannot see...it appeared that the Oscar folks can't

Um, NOOO. Star Wars (1977) never won Best Picture. That went to Annie Hall. In retrospect, after the prequels, I'm glad Star Wars lost.

@jadeyes914 apparently so, it seems cameron wasnt content in milking the first one by releasing it again in cinemas with an extra 8 minutes??? the second film is set to release 2014, dont know about the 3rd. i just hope its consistent and doesnt ruin the franchise.
