The Toledo Storm fall to Cincinnati Cyclones in game 2 of the ECHL North Division Semifinals. This game ends up being the final time the Toledo Storm would ever play at home & the last game ever to be played at the Sports Arena.

I saw a ton of concerts in this arena. Cactus, Aerosmith, The Greg Allman Band, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Blue Oyster Cult, Mahogany Rush, Hawkwind, and those are the ones I can remember. I also remember helping rip up the pads over the ice and slip and sliding down the wet ice like madmen. Those were the days!

I will always remember the Storm and that final game.

I hope I never go to a Toledo Walleye game after all the crap they had to pull together to put that poor excuse of "Carty's image of downtown" together. If I wanted family friendly hockey I would go to college or NHL hockey, I want real hockey and a cute new mascot and a new arena isn't going to get me to go.
