A "Langpad" is a long road.

This song was written by a Group called Neels Steyn en sy Orkes. And it started while they were on tour through the Karoo they eard a old coloured play it on a castrol oil tin guitar. They later went back and paid the old fellow his royalties

The language of the song is Afrikaans (South African language). Brought back memories from the late Sixties when I was about an 8 year old. My father had an LP with this melody as the title track.
