@chunkyxsushi I remember interviews she made a long time ago saying that when she first came to America it wasn't "In" or cool to be Australian in America yet. It was before all of the stars now from Australia had made it big so she decided to drop the accent in an attempt to have a better chance at getting roles. It has proven to work, since every show she has been in since Ally McBeal have all been amazing but could never survive for some reason.
