Exhausted, persecuted and all Alone in Exile
My legs wobble.
About to stumble and fall
Crying as a babe wrenched off it's mother's milk
Jesus, you didn't leave me to wander
In total desolation feeling all alone
I still have you...you are here with me
When the heavy cross weighs on me
My Beloved ...still...you are with me
When fear overtakes me like it did your disciples
And I cry out from complete isolation
You answer my anguished cry
And filled me with an amazing peace
In solitude when I felt all forlorn
Jesus you are still with me
When the heavy cross weighs on me
My Beloved ...still...you are with me
Despised and rejected by others
God of David you saw
And smite Goliath just as your words
I am now a witness to your deeds
That I saw with my own eyes
In that desperate lonesome journey
Jesus you were with me all along
When the heavy cross weighs on me
My Beloved ...still...you are with me
Right there beside me in my suffering
My tower of strength in weakness
My just redeemer in oppression
You never get tired rescuing me every time
In solitude when I felt all forlorn
Jesus you are still with me
When the heavy cross weighs on me
My Beloved ...still...you are with me
In that desperate lonesome journey
Jesus you were with me all along
When the heavy cross weighs on me
My Beloved ...still...you are with me
