This shot didn't make it into the set because of space constraints. Here it is in it's entirety: how to undercoat gold metallic with regular paint to give an even tone and brightness.

  • Kublacon mini! <3 (I *love* that con!)

  • @Nekona Yup! Best con in California (probably the West Coast too.) Stop by and say hi. I'll be teaching some classes there.

  • So???looks cooler when it looks worn out.....Besides Warhammer SUCKS!!!!!

buy lord of the rings miniatures instead

  • @FanLastchaosFan My original reply got deleted. Hmmm...

To each his own, but just FYI:

    1) The mini is from Kublacon in CA, not Warhammer.

    2) GW popularized worn-out armor for - guess what - Warhammer.

    3) GW makes LOTR minis.

    4) LOTR armies, except evil ones, maintain their armor.

    5) Worn-out armor will fail (aka kill) the wearer. No knight wore rusty armor into battle.

    6) It took you 4 attempts to state your succinct argument... ;^)

  • @FanLastchaosFan that is actually warhammer lord of the rings

  • I'm definately going to look into buying the DVD box set - just watching your blending tutorial (the cloak) has given me a little bit more confidence, and I aim to try it out. I just have one small question though:- you obviously use reaper paints, is there a conversion list of these as I use Vallejo and Citadel?

  • @FanLastchaosFan Dude, have you seen LOTR miniatures??? The molds are awful and are made for kids, they do no justice to the characters/creatures that Tolkien created. The 40K models are MUCH more detailed and MUCH more fun to paint/look at.

  • so???? looks cooler when its looks worn out! stupid
