Calefax Composers Competition 2010 - Jury Report

During the 7th 'Calefax PAN Festival' (Dec 28th 2010), Arnoud Noordegraaf announces the winner of the Calefax Composers Competition 2010. An audience of 500 people witnessed the premiere of the winning composition: "Ranae" by Jeffrey Harrington.

The jury rewarded two compositions with an honorable mention: "(part of) everything" by Dutch composer Ivo van Emmerik, and "Phenomena III" by Japanese composer Takahiro Sakuma.

Calefax is grateful for having received for the competition no less than 34 entries from 17 (!) countries. They hope to continue the competition next year.
