I saw a star up in the sky,
its radiant beams diffused upon the desert sand.
I saw a star, and its light captured me
and drove me from my home into a foreign land.
I saw a star, and it enraptured me,
and so Ill follow wherever it may lead.
Just let me live to feel its holy light
upon my face, there in a place of goodness and peace.
I wander on through darkness night,
my quest to find Gods only son in the place He abides.
I saw a star, and its light captured me
and drove me from my home into a foreign land.
I saw a star, and it enraptured me,
heavenly light, banish the night, enter my soul!

I saw a star, what meaning can there be
when heavens radiance is beamed upon the earth.
Dear Lord of love, my guide and shelter be,
bathed in your light, there is no night just joy and peace (repeat)
Bathed in your liglht, theres only joy and peace.

  • I was searching for someone that had this experience i had. I humbled myself to God on my knees one night and begged repentence. A star moved closer and closer and its radience engilphed me and comforted me with Love beyond words capable of describing it. I will say it was the Holy Spirit answering my prayers. Your lyrics sound familiar. Dis you write these lyrics?

  • Yes, I did write the lyrics. The words have to do with the Wise Men and their search for Jesus, but I have a friend, Theresa Harris, who had a similar experience to yours. She was diagnosed with cancer, and the night before she was to go in for treatment, a bright light shone through her window three times, waking her up. The third time, she had a tremendous sense of love surrounding her, and the next day, when she went in for the treatment, they could find no sign of cancer.

  • Anna,

I thought this year was amazing!! The sound was better than in other years and putting the pictures on the screen must have been hard work. Priscilla really enjoys singing and I enjoy watching.

Thanks for all your(and all the others that help) hard work.

  • Thanks, Tommy! Priscilla has a great voice, and we're happy to have her in the choir.

  • Your song is beautiful. I am so happy to hear your friends experience. I know it was real. Yes the light was a clear bluish white light of Love and compassion imparting a feeling of complete truth, wisdom and justice. I recall it seemed like maybe thousands of souls all together as one, if that makes any sense?
