Bessie Smith Music Video

This was the final project for my Music Video Production class. I was responsible for producing, directing, shooting and editing my own music video. The song I used for the project was the 1920's song by Bessie Smith called "Ain't Nobody's Business What I Do". The song is about Bessie Smith doing what she desires whenever she wants and that no one should question her actions. The video portrays a night out with a woman like Bessie Smith. I maintained a 1920's theme keeping the video in black and white, adding constant flickering, film hairs and grains.
