@hwi42 That's fine and good, but where are the good quality and strong electric splitters in the US, and where is the 220v line to run them in the middle of the woods.
I haven't noticed any diesel tractors of that size to use much fuel when they're not under load. I'd bet that thing will run that splitter on a gallon every two hours given that it's barely over idle. Even if gas, still not much, neither is really under constant load from anything. You have to put it under load to use fuel.

I´ve got a similar saw, an its the best thing I`ve ever build. It is the fastest way to cut logs up to 10-12". That being said it has also claimed the tip off my middel finger on my left hand. But someone once tols me to learn from my mistakes, so i´m still using "the saw off dead" today.

These guys are in the zone for firewood production. Circular saws are much more efficient on wood less than 12" in diameter than chainsaws, and that Swedish screw (nothing to do with blonds) appears faster and easier than a single blade hydraulic wood splitter. Safety, well, in the heyday of these circular saws, people knew they were responsible for keeping their body parts intact; nowdays, there are many propagander victims out there who think some government dept. is going to do that.
Scary things and what about the fuel consumption? I vote for a hydraulic splitter driven by an electric motor.

So where does the electricity come from in the middle of a field?

You have to remember to keep you fingers out of the way with the 30 inch saw blade - in the past someone has lost a few fingers on it and now with a 30 inch TCT blade it goes through 6 inch nails without even noticing them!
