MELVINS - "Zodiac" 6-1-1990 New Orleans, LA.

This is a video of THE MELVINS that I shot Live at Storyville Jazz Hall in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 1, 1990. THE SLUGS opened the show.

Line Up:

Buzz Osborne a.k.a (King Buzzo): Guitar / Vocals
Dale Crover: Drums
Tom Flynn: Bass

Tom was a member of FANG and ran Boner Records (The label THE MELVINS were on at the time and filled in on bass for this tour after Lorax left the band).

The audio is a little dodgy because the tape was soaked during katrina at my old place in Chalmette, LA. after the levees broke in Aug of 2005.

I made a few copies of this tape for people back then in 1990 and '91 and I remember walking into Mushroom Records on Broadway uptown in New Orleans a few years back to see that this tape that I shot was being sold as a bootleg with an official hard shell cover. I had to laugh. I never got a cut of that action and im sure THE MELVINS didn't either.

I didn't realize that was THE STOOGES "Down On The Street" until you pointed that out, because they do the same bass / drum intro on "It's Shoved" on "Bullhead" haha.
