  • Inspirational to say the least! And I thought canning would take all day. I'll get started this week!

  • @SultanOfShinola Just hit the FF>> button and "git er done" Thanks for watching brother.

  • I have pressured up a lot of chicken breasts, but I just cold pack them whole and not boil them first. It looks like you had frozen bags and boiled to defrost?

It's an excellent way to take advantage of good sale prices when you don't have a lot of freezer space.

90 min at 15lbs here. I could do 13lbs here, but I don't like chasing the gauge and the weight is 15lbs, so everything is done at 15lbs. :)

  • @Badboy7357 Thanks for watching and commenting. Bet that is tricky trying to stay right at 15lbs. That means standing at the stove almost for the whole 90 minutes ;(

  • @MrToeTagger372

I respect your thoughts. I have my stove dialed in, and even the knobs are marked for the 15lb sweet spot. I hit it right on the money, and if I go over, the weight will do it's dance and keep it down to 15.

Not trying to argue because your vid shows how easy it is. Just saying what works for me. My altitude makes the required pressure for meat so close to 15lbs it doesn't really matter. Let the weight to the work and dial in the flame.

  • @Badboy7357 Hope you didn't take that wrong. I wasn't being negative. I appreciate your comments and your experience. I'm always open to others ideas and methods. Just happened to catch a sale on the bagged breasts. Frozen wasn't my first choice, but it was the quickest. Canning is something I really enjoy. I spent many hours helping my mother (well I was really the clean up guy) but now I appreciate the knowledge she passed down. It's coming in handy.

  • @MrToeTagger372 I do the "lite" version of these videos not so much as a how to, but to help belay some of the "fear" people new to canning might have. Hopefully it will encourage them to at least try. If it looks too technical or time consuming, some people might be put off. Just my thoughts, brother. Again, thanks for watching and commenting.

Your good. I misread. I read "tricky" as "tacky".

I am a guy and got my first pressure cooker last year for Christmas...AND I HAVE BEEN USING IT. :)

I like to save money on good bulk sales on meat. I even done up ground beef and have a recipe for canned meatloaf I want to test.

I am also a prepper, so you know how that goes.

  • @starlordish ill slow it don a notch next time. :)

  • @SoCalPreppers lol. Time consuming, but worth it. Thanks brother
