Has there ever been a feature that computes the formulas, but then pastes them as values?
I've been using CTRL+V to paste the formulas, and then, since I didn't need so many active formulas in a sheet, was copying (CTRL+C) and pasting over with a special paste for values only (CTRL+SHIFT+P). If there is a way to do that in a single step, that would be a great feature for me.

Thanks for pointing that out. There are random values generate from a formula - so that is why the values are changing...

is it an excel bug, or you are doing something wrong, cause your copy&paste values does not match with each other....

I do not understand you question. Can you re-state your question?

excel 2010 hangs when I try to copy & paste then it doesn't paste anything. I get nothing when I hover as in this video. All the boxes are checked by default in the options, advanced, copy and paste section. Tried unchecking the last option, it did nothing. The same thing happens with format painter, just hangs & doesn't copy the formatting. I have searched for hours on google & microsoft, I cannot find any solution. Has anyone else experienced these problems? I am using windows xp pro sp3.

I do not know how to fix that. But no problem, THE best site for Excel questions such as the one you are asking is:

Can you copy the formulas without the data being copied, as well? I just want to use the same forumlas but my data will be different.
