@rugerguyau I was hunting at the beach the other day and remembered your comment, so many tabs and sure enough right in that range. Found just one dollar coin, which was reading out at 61 and a bunch of junk. I've scoped out a few local and secluded parks, so hopefully I get out to them soon, should be fun.
Have you ever hunted bark covered play areas? do you know what they're like for hunting/digging?
@LostTreasureComAU Thanks mate, NZ looked to have a short run on silver coins, from 1933-1946, 50% silver. The one I found was 1961, copper nickel I think.
Well done on the NZ Threepence mate, ... is the NZ Threepence a Silver Coin? Looks Copper? The Aussie Three Pence is Silver ... well done on your first three pence, hope you find many more!
I graduated from a cheapo Bounty Hunter to the Fisher and soon started to find far more pre decimal coins and lots of silver coins. A bit of advice............. Dont dig any signal under a 30, it will be trash, unless of course you are relic hunting. 35-45, usually a pull tab but can also be small gold objects, I nearly didnt dig one of these, glad I did and ended up with a gold ring!. Keep digging in NZ!
@madsonicboating Cheers mate, my coin jars getting pretty full now.
