I think that these guys are so awesome and technically capable to do each other things, if they wanted, that they got to the point when no one can compare them. . . They are so instructed on music that they give their small grain of sand, they have different styles, that they become uncomparable, in other words unique.

I think its better to enjoy each one independently and take the best of each one them

@Guitarist166 you should check out Jordan Rudess's book Total Keyboard Wizardry, it'll really give your hands and mind a workout. his online conservatory is also really good. it's $50 and well worth it, although if you sign up for the conservatory you won't be needing the book because the conservatory already has all the information the book has. there is also some guitar instruction in it. good luck on both instruments

Amazing melodies as always by Mr Pinnella. One of my fav keyboardists in metal. I love this album, it gets a play every 2 weeks or so. I would love another solo album!

mmm no, Pinella is much more epic than rudess, so there is the great difference whit the melodies and chord progressions... Rudess it´s more progressive and i think it´s a kind of syntheziser god, i mean, he is always using the last gadget in every song xD and he is also a virtuoso. I love both of them, because they are different on each other. I prefer to listen Rudess-Pinella, than Johansson(same as)Warmen. Excuse me for my english.

Michael pinella is my favorite keyboardist, I think I like his stuff more in symphony x but that could be cause I'm not a keyboard player I am learning though, My favorite thing by him that I have heard so far is the part just before the solo's in smoke and mirrors I'm learning that right now I just love it! also the clean piano sounds in communion and the oracle as well as a whole bunch of shit in the odyssey he's a truly awesome feller!
