I SHIT YOU NOT - THIS WORKS. I JUST GOT A REPLACEMENT LCD FROM EBAY, WAS LOOKING FOR HOW TO DO THE REPLACEMENT AND STUMBLED ON THIS. AND IT WORKS. THANK YOU POSTER FOR TAKING THE TIME AND THE TROUBLE - THIS IS NOT A SCAM / JOKE!!!!!!!!

This isn't a prank if your HD went out than that's a issue you have with your computer...look at the comments it's worked for many.

hey i need help i got a ibook g4 an i removed the keyboard an airport an airport card 2 clean under it,wen i was doing puting it bac 2gther click power button it didn't show anything but BUT it makes loud fan noise...wats wrong?

@bugzee77 ok if you see all lights are on, and your hard drive is running ok...that means that your logic board has gone out due to the problem that i was explaining in my video...G3 and G4s all had the same problem.

i tried doing that and it still didnt work and when i took it apart the hard drive is right there but the diplaycable connect right next to it

@goodbeary so if the quick fix didn't work you'll have to heat up the logic board chip on the macbook which is located on the bottom of the mac, and there are a couple of vids showing you how.
