  • @kinetixautomation ... the barrel itself would be filament wound, from my observation i would say it`s filament wound, then they have added the ribs and run some CoreMatt in between (the cheaters way to acheive a desired thinkness by resin loading the CoreMatt)..The ends are obviously moulded hand lay-up The failure appears to be the joint between the base and the barrel, So i would say the joint lay-up was too narrow or not thick enough.

  • They should have used filament wounded FRP tank. This hand layup made FRP tank can be seen to be of very low quality.
