It will take the fall of America for history to uncover the profiteering criminals that control this country. Old balding white business men control this country. Much past our lifetimes, we will discover that our country was raped by a few men to build personal empires, and personal bank accounts. Halliburton made over 100 billion dollars in Iraq and Afghanistan. We waste our energy with idiots like Palin and Bachman but nobody can name the people that threw this country to the shitter.

I started watching Real Time religiously after seeing this episode. Props to Maher for giving Moyers the floor solo, was a great discussion.

@bytorsgirl The problem is there is scarcity in our system. so the money has to come from somewhere. there is no way of getting around this... but i do agree that a for profit system makes it more expensive. but either way there will be rationing.

Stop instigating in other souvereign countries problems constantly. Start solving your own national interests including the well being of your citizens. What gives U.S the right to decide which regimes are legitimate?! The only incentive your government uses to attack other nations are to install puppet governments and control their natural recources. By the way I love yopur country and people. But not these mechanisms mentioned above.....
You are what is wrong with our country. There is no reason that a person should be responsible for tens of thousands of dollars for a simple surgical procedure. That would bankrupt MOST middle income people. It is not right to say - yes, this person deserves to die because they cannot afford preventative care. I don't have insurance, but even when I did have insurance, I would NEVER had denied my neighbor healthcare for all.
