Q: What will be the Depth of Open Pit at the Hartford Complex? 2,000 feet?

Scott, Goldspring Inc. geologist:
"Bingham" is one pit that goes that deep.
A: Width is constricted by the available width due to the local terrain (mountains and state highway).

SuperPit in Australia by Newmont is the largest open pit gold mine in the world.
It is very wide due to location on an open plain.
Check their website to see if tech data, photos and diagrams about the SuperPit are restored.

Q: Is shoring is feasible?

A: MSHA regulations impose restrictions in USA.
Geotech has more info in that regard.

Innovation to create economic solutions is solicitated.

  • Newcrest in Australia is into Caving, there are lots of variables of Caving which reduces the cost in many cases of Gold mining.
