I know some republicans who are reasonable and logical people. Unfortunately that sort has lost control of the republican party. The party is now in a complete tail spin. It may not survive in the long term because so many people who once were republicans now refuse to be identified with the party. They may start a new party and let the idiots keep the party or they may decide to fight for it and take it back from the crazies.

Many republicans absolutely hate Cheney. I'd bet that many of them said "right on" (or some out of date phrase like that) when they heard what Grayson said. Given that Cheney's and his crowd is the reason that republicans are now only about 20% of the population. They took what was a party with a valid opposing view and turned it into a loony bin.
