How to Lookup Values Using Multiple Columns in Excel

There are times when you need more look up power than you can get from the VLOOKUP Function. For example, when you need to return a value that requires you to look up more than one column (e.g. First Name -1st Column - and Last Name - 2nd Column) in order to return the employees title or manager or hire date.

I share my best practices in this lesson - e.g. using Named Cell Ranges in your Formula. To create this formula you are using an Array Formula and this means that you use the keyboard combination "Ctrl+Shift+Enter" to enter it.

Hay DannyRocks, You have helped me in the past, I have 4 issues with my spread sheet. I have been working on this for many, many hours and about to give up. I have searched all over the web to teach myself, but I am stuck.

Need Help. 3 items are VBA and have completed about 85% of the goal with 2 of the VBA.

The other VBA I need to start from scratch.

Last last issue is date & time with cell activation.

Is there anyway you can help outside of the You_Tube forum?

I have an acountin sheet dat vlooksup 4 diff columns on anoda sheet (h/i/j/k 6:h/i/j/k 1048576 respectively) in d same workbook. All 4 columns use a SN as criteria.Works ok. Problem is that when I input the SN, excel 2010 begins to calculate at the bottom bar and it could take days before it completes;it eats up my memory, slows my PC. Wat can I do to make it go faster yet lookin up all 4 data? I've even reduced d nos of cloumn cells 2 150000 yet it still take time to calculate.
