Halo: Reach official E3 2009 Trailer.
Halo Reach is a prequel to Halo 1 developed by Bungie and set around the story of The Fall of Reach novel. The story focus's on Master Chief and his Spartan team mates, Samuel, Frederic, James, Kelly and Linda and how they fight to try and save humanitys most precious and important colony (After Earth off course) from total annihilation by the Covenant.
Another Theory is that you don't play as Chief but pehaps the other Spartans left on Reach as the Pillar of Autumn fled and stumbled across the first Halo ring during the beginning of Halo 1.
(This is my theory using my knowledge of the Fall of Reach graphic novel)
The game will be released in Fall 2010 and you will be able to play in the open Multiplayer Beta with your purchase of Halo: ODST which is out on September 22nd 2009

There's more than 300 Spartans go on the halo website and look at noble six's number he at 330 or something

Dumbest trailer ever. Everyone who saw this definatly was like WTF? Halo Wars just came out what the hell is this? But it is a KICK ASS game!

For those unaware, James is a SPARTAN in the novel Halo: the Fall of Reach, and he ends up trying to destroy a NAV system before the Covenant forces acquire it, but he is compromised when his T-pack is damaged, explodes and sends him soaring through space uncontrolled. No one knows if he survived or not, and they don't find him after the battle, and he is truly MIA-There is speculation that he did survive.

Correct. If you look in the blue smoke coming from the broken ship you can see the outline of a spartan floating through space. This is a reference to James, a spartan in the Halo novels.

Yep :D You can enter the multiplayer beta if you have Xbox Live and purchase Halo 3: ODST which comes out 22nd September 2009.
