Colgate wanted to raise awareness of its "share a smile" project to raise money for children's charity, Banardo's. To reach thousands across the UK, a 2 week digital OOH campaign in June 2011 amplified Colgate's promotion by showcasing a selection of the best smiles across premium digital screens. The public was encouraged to participate by posting smiley pictures onto the Colgate 'Keeping Britain Smiling' Facebook page. Each smile and 'like' on the page was counted toward a smile-o-meter and when it hits 1 million smiles, Colgate made a donation to a children's charity.
