(Bella POV)
After I had stopped crying, I wiped the tears from Renesmee's cheeks.
N: "I love you so much, mommy. I missed you." She sniffled.
B: "Oh baby, I missed you, too." I hugged her once more and stood up. She was cradled in my arms when Jake limped over. "Jacob! What are you doing?! Sit down! You shouldn't be walking right now!"
JB: "Don't worry about me, Bells. I'm fine." I scoffed and then he put his arms around me and Ness. "This all I need in life. The two of you alive and safe." He pulled away and looked down at me. "Well, somewhat alive." I playfully shoved him in his shoulder. "Ouch!" He scremaed.
B: "Oh, Jacob! I'm sorry! Are you okay?!"
JB: "I'm good." He said as he exhaled a long breath.
C: "We should get going guys. Before somebody shows up." Carlsile interrupted.
The wolves helped carry Jake because Carlisle said he shouldn't walk on his own. Jasper had Alice in his arms because she could barely keep her eyelids open, let alone move. Carlisle had his arm around Esme like Emmett did with Rose. We were all about to walk out when we noticed Seth knelt beside the burning fire. Embry ran to his side and grabbed his arm.
EMB: "Come on, dude. We gotta go, now." He said as he was trying to tow Set towards the door.
SE: "Bye, sis. I love you." He turned and began walking, and for a second, I regreted killing Leah as I watched a tear slowly roll down Seth's face.
(Edward POV)
We quickly made our way out of the city and were standing in an open field when Carlisle stopped to talk to us.
C: "All right guys. We need to get into a hotel somewhere so Alice, Ness, and Jake can get some rest."
B: "Umm, I don't think that's a good idea."
E: "Why not?"
B: "Well, some of the Volturi are still out there somewhere so we should just keep moving."
C: "What about Alice and Jake? They're hurt, Bella. And, after everything your daughter has been through you-"
B: "Don't start with me Carlisle. DON'T START WITH ME! I don't need to be reminded of what my daughter has been through! So, you're telling me by wanting to take her home that makes me a bad mom?!"
C: "I didn't say that, Bella."
B: "BUT YOU WERE ABOUT TO!"
E: "Bella!" I put my hands on her face."Sweetie, you've had a long couple of days. You and Renesmee both just need somehwere to relax for a while. You're too stressed. It's not good for you." I soothingly spoke as I caressed her cheeks.
B: "I just need to keep moving, Edward. For OUR daughter." She tried to run so I grabbed her arm and pulled her back to my side. "LET GO OF ME!"
E: "Bella, first of all, you need to calm down." I said as I tried to hold onto her.
B: "NO, EDWARD! I WON'T!" She struggled harder. Renesmee began to cry in Bella's arms so Emmett took her. "EMMETT! GIVE ME MY DAUGHTER!"
EM: "Bella, stop! You're getting her upset!" Renesmee was screaming and Emmett tried to quiet her.
B: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." She said much more calm thanks to Jasper. "Can I have her back, please?"
EM: "Just let Rose hold onto her for a bit."
B: "Emmett." She growled as he handed her to Rosalie. I walked her a few steps away and wrapped my arms around her waist.
E: "What's wrong, baby? You just seem so wound up."
B: "I'm fine, Edward. I just want to get Nessie home."
E: "Honey, I don't know if you haven't noticed but she's pretty messed up. I mean the cuts on her arms and legs- We should check into a hotel so Carlisle can treat her and so you can unwind for a couple days."
B: "What if they come back, Edward? There are still a few of the Volturi alive."
E: "They won't." I reassured her. "I promise. Nessie will be safe." I bent down and kissed her forehead.
B: She sighed in defeat. "Fine. But it better be a nice hotel."
E: "It will be. The Campo Regio Relais isn't too far from here."
B: "Sounds fancy, so all right. We can stay for a couple days."
E: "Thanks, Bella." I kissed her again and led her back over to the rest of us. She apologized for being psycho and we all headed towards the hotel. We decided to stay for three nights and would fly directly back to Forks. We just hoped in the mean time, the Volturi would stay away from us and we could enjoy the next few days of rest and relaxation.
