Sonic '06: Sonic/Tails - Wave Ocean (Stage 1)

Hey, everyone, De again, and this time with some new gaming footage. Yes, we ALL know Sonic Next Gen for the Xbox 360 & PS3 sucked hard, and I bet a lot of people are gonna be wondering why I'm posting THIS game footage outside of all the other games I have. Well, truth of the matter is that I've been a fan of Sonic ever since the Genesis days and like all my favorites, I stick with them through their ups and downs (and trust me, Sonic as a series has have a LOT of downs as of late). Granted, I'm probably one of the few people who can stomach this game, mainly since I came at it KNOWING it was a under-par game, and set my expectations low. In actuality it benefited and I was able to enjoy the game despite the flaws, hence why I'm doing this. This is the first of quite a lot of vids from this series as I'm going to show you guys each hedgehog's main stage playthroughs, starting with Sonic's first, then Shadow's first, the Silver's, then repeat the process for each proceeding stage, so for now, check out the first main stage of the game; despite that one flaw at the end of the high-speed stage, this was a rather fine run through Wave Ocean.

And yes, I DID manually cut the load times in editing... so don't comment wondering why the stages are loading so quickly.

1:28 was the reason why critics hated this game. That and the creepy romance between sonic and Elise

There should be a patch that fixes sonic's animations when he jumps off the walls. The script errors, most people go out of their way to find and exploit. Maybe have sonic move faster? I don't know, I've never played this game, but I still feel like I've missed out on something great.

In regards to the hub, I mean, I don't mind if it's there. Think of Station Square: All it REALLY was was a circle with levels around it, and a few hidden areas. If you wanted, you could ignore it and Mystic Ruins during the entire game, and just head straight to your next level. Just make it smaller, all the buildings in Soleanna make it feel like you're literally traversing a maze.

DAMN, does this game deserve a remake. With Sonic Team's current skill in just putting a damn game together and having it work, a remake of this game would kick ASS. A working, beautiful game. They could take out some of the dumber things (the goddamn Soleanna hubs and their missions). You could say Unleashed was bad for whatever reason (although I loved it), but you have to admit that the game at least worked. This needs to be the Sonic Adventure 3 that it so desperately aspires to be.

@MikeAndTio yeah, but that still is not an excuse for so many of them in the game, specially when the can occur randomly. Also, the level design is shit (too automated and not enough speed), the control is shit and the camera is shit. It is just a shit game. If Sega would remake the game it would probably be awesome, though

the only thing so far i like about this game is the 2 player mode, other than that the glitches piss me the hell off

This game looks god damn slow compared to modern sonic games (Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Generations). And btw this stage looks exactly like Emerald Coast.

@MarioSonic2010 I know that, it's exactly what I was saying. People blame the game when they do glitches on purpose. I look at some glitch videos and I'm like ''What the hell was the guy doing there to begin with?'' The game has glitches and flaws, I can't deny that, but most glitches will either only happen on purpose or won't change anything(ex:when you stick in the middle of a roof in the hub, it's pointless and won't kill you).
