6:13 you see clearly a bubble an Kong's rubber. This is why he cut it and turned it. All Chinese players do that.
-
No, he's not Zhang Jike. He is a 2nd-string member. I know him by look but not by name.
-
@haydonlee93 I didn't say it's all about spin. I just said that balls that bounce back aren't necessarily spinnier than balls which don't.
-
@taufoofar its not about how spinny ur serve is. in fact top world class players use no spin serves also. its more important how u follow up after u serve. ppl serve differently depending on their style of play and what their forte is in the game

The other man is Li Ping.
-
The serve was never one of Kong's strengths...
-
lol at 00:56 zhang chao hits kongs serve with his left hand
-
@MrRothhaendle yes but if he hits the ball correctly, you'll have some hard time with that poisen spin in it..

Kong retired from active sports in 2005. That time Zhang Yike was a member of China's junior squad and not exercising services with Kong Linghui..;)
That's Li Ping, for sure!

@taufoofar You obviously don't understand the situation here. The guy is Li Ping. He is on the Chinese National First Team and is about as good as Chen Qi and Hao Shuai. In the video, he is trying to copy Kong's serve, and that's why he makes so many mistakes. In a real match, Li Ping has one of the best serves on the national team.
Are you sure that's Zhang Jike? Cos that guy was making so many mistakes, and he's rushing his services so much. And it doesn't really look like him. Kong's services are way better, in my opinion. More variety, and just cos the other guy's services bounce back, Kong's service looks more spinny.
