There was much debate on whether or not returning Vietnam Veterans were spat upon on their return...here is the proof of a returning Iraq War Veteran being spat on during an anti-war protest.

You have to admire the "class" (sarcasm intended) of this war protestor.

But Alan, as usual, you miss the entire point. Even if many, if not most Americans who are anti-war would are not anti-American and would not spit on these men, the fact and point here is those anti-war Americans who gather at such protests are the ones who represent "the face" of anti-war America. Therefore, the anti-war faction of America is judged by "those" indivuduals who spit on our Vets, not you Alan. I suggest "you" start attending these protests and come to the defense of those spat on.

They should have gone with "Those people are anti-american because they are against the soldiers and against the way a modern democracy works, by talking and showing respect.
