Enter the directions of the wind and destination, either with exact degrees or the handy wheel of main compass points. That alone gives you the optimal tacking angles. This clip also shows pins being set on the aerial photo from Google Maps for the current position and for waypoints, and how to move the pins before saving or renaming. And this is all done with the iPod inside of a waterproof DryPak.
Although the Lite version of the SailTimer app is mentioned in this clip, the Lite version is no longer available. Most people preferred getting the full set of features.
