This is a short sample of Bruce Bickford's two dimensional (line) animated film, INVERSION LAYER, a work in progress. Bickford, who is best known for his collaborations with Frank Zappa in the 1970s, is an international cult figure who has influenced generations of animators while somehow eluding mainstream notoriety. Bickford's film PROMETHEUS' GARDEN is available on DVD - along with Brett Ingram's award-winning feature length documentary, MONSTER ROAD, about Bickford's life and work - exclusively from www.brettingram.org

I've seen the full film a while ago accompanied by bruce himself.
And man, it was great.
It's really one of the greatest (also craziest) films I've seen in this style.
Now I want to give a try to drawn animation again.

I can't understand how he can make so make happen at the same time, I have no idea how he can keep tabs with what's going on with each character and movement.
Amazing.

Line animation by Bruce is some of the most original visual art...I Think it deserves a more powerfull music than that piano tonal thing
something closer to the works of Zappa or Nancarrow
