I use this to remove my make up everyday and it is gentle, cheap, effective and works on waterproof make up too. It doesn't leave my eyelids sore like wetwipes and solvents. Why not give it a go!

Recipe
Mix one part natural thin oil like almond or baby oil
With two parts glycerin and rosewater toner (available from Boots or Burts Bees). You could try it with your everyday toner instead as long as it is not alcohol based.

Enjoy!

  • Hi could you please tell me the toner recipe. I have bought a bottle of glycerin and a bottle of rose water. What ratio of each do i need to mix together.

Thank you for the great idea I hope it works for me

  • Hi, it's about 1/3 glycerine and 2/3 rose water. If it feels sticky then reduce the glycerine

  • I'm going to try it with Jojoba oil and Rosewater. Do you think the Rosewater would be ok as I haven't managed to get hold of Glycerin and Rosewater yet.

  • The glycerin is important, you can buy it from most pharmacies and dilute it with water. The glycerin removes the oil which removes the make up.
