Karantania existed from year 626 till 15. centuries and present slovene speak language not others.The leaders(KNEZI) of Karantania were Slovenes. Austria established empire on slovenian territory like Italia on Roman empire decay. Latinic speak is not same like italian. Also slovenian speak is not same like german.There was presence a lot of mix slovenian and german speak. Today you can see that Slovenia(ex Karantania) and Austria have a lot of problems about that also Italia have.
