I believe Frank has stated that he used to be a controller himself. this would be part of the reason this gentlemen is so fluid and quick thinking with his aviation speak. i'm a huge fan as of recently. keep the great post's coming..... so educational. :)

Wow, I kind of miss that busy airspace. I've done flights out here in AZ where Albuquerque Center didn't say a thing for a good ten minutes, if not longer.

nice vid, as always. The female controller... recognize her voice when I was returning from KSEE well into the Chino area. Small world! Wondering, what happens if you are exceed 2 minutes on the ground, can ATC decline your IFR coverage? What if you are already in IMC right off the deck?
