I've just mending my ancient Amiga 600 and start making music again with OctaMED. I selected this song to prove hardware's stability. Watch the original here:
KINETIC: GIRL IF EVER (JONNY L. REMIX) : watch?v=NyMCGvYXf0Q
Try this production trick for jungle/breakbeat on amiga: it's awesome (and it's oooold!).
-Left Channel (Synths & Accapellas) centered and processed with STEREO phaser / sync delay & reverb,
-Right Channel (Loops & Basses) also centered with a soft STEREO phaser for ambience..
-Maximize using a multiband compressor (try some presets).
Now I Think...OMG How many 90's hits were made with this TOY !?!?!?
INFORMATION:
Hardware: written in a '94s Commodore Amiga 600 with 1mb chip 8mb Fast + Apollo 620 25mhz
Software used: OctaMED, SoundForge & Fruityloops (mastering)
All samples 25khz 8bit mono (Original Song Length: about 0,5 MB !!!!)
Rendered using WinUAE with crux interpolation and 100% stereo separation.

Pa el que no lo entienda: Cancion creada con un ordenador de hace 17 AÑOS que estaba ROTO. AQUI NO SE TIRA NADA, EEEH!!!
@realist22able Octamed synthesis is really a 128bytes-long waveform sequencer. The computer DOESN'T calculate filters or whatever, so is very limited as a synth.
Amiga version can't run VST, but PC version does. There is also a vst multi-format open source tracker called OpenMPT (google it)
If you want VSTs with classic amiga you need a MIDI-slave PC running a host program (like VSTHOST) and OctaMED MIDI Instrument channels routed to each VST (using midi filters).
Thanks for watching!
