Oh, for trivia fans - I read in an interview with Guy Garvey that this song was inspired by a real life tower crane driver that the band met in a bar.
Apparently, at the start of the evening, he was boasting about how much money he earnt, but by the end of the evening, he was drunk and crying his eyes out about how lonely he was.

I saw this song performed live at the Latitude Festival last weekend - Guy's voice was absolutely stunning, as good as any voice I've ever heard live. You could also see he was putting every ounce of his soul into the song.
Wonderful band - if you haven't seen them live, you're really missing out.
