Stay small, stay Unique. Make enough money to live comfortably and put your (Vinnies) kids through college when they grow up.

Fame, Riches etc.. is obviously not all it seems to be. It only leads to jealousy and turmoil in the long run.

@3DPeter 1) art is not about what is physically difficult it is so much more then that. 2) cad is not meant to replace fabrication by hand its to add to it with things that cannot be done by hand. Many of the things they (including Vinnie who does and has done both cnc and fabrication) create on these machines if possible at all would take weeks or months even years to create and would not be possible without these artists.

Now if i had a guy like rick and a shop full of tools and machines like occ has, then i built you any bike

you want, because with al that stuff, it's a piece of cake. Buy a frame, buy an engine, cnc some parts and rims, weld some small theme things that makes the bike a one off built, bend some pipes for the handlebar and/or exhaustpipes, powder coat or get the whole buch painted by another nubby, done!

Now witch is the hard part, except the metal beating from rick?

I call a chopper a piece of art when every part is HAND built, but not what occ/jd does, exept for rick, because he's the only dude who bangs a flat sheet of metal with his HANDS into a tank, while the others bolt some parts together and weld some little stuf, witch everyone with welding machine can do,. Then they trow a program into a cnc machine that poop out a rim, and then the whole bike goes to a powder coater, or to an ARTIST like nubby, who paint it with his HANDS.

@3DPeter there are many types of artists in the world. The people who design games are artists. People who design amazing architecture are artists along with the steel workers who build it. I love art of all types Michaelangelo may not have built the Sistine chapel but i would consider the painting he did on it art and the architecture of the ceiling its self. In your narrow minded point of view no choppers or buildings or anything is art unless its a painting hung on a wall.

so cad designers are artist now? What a joke. i'm not a cad designer, but i draw alot in sketchup like my own house, several fictional dream homes, a complete circus with 1000 seats, children's ride-on cars, etc etc, so i'm an artist too then? Let me tell you who are real artist, and that are the men who worked in metal shops were they got a drawing form their boss, and made something on a old fashion lathe with no computers attached. Now that are real artist/craftsmen.

@3DPeter I do have respect for welders and craftsman but to say there is no talent in a water jet is petty and stupid. You obviously have no concept of what cad artists do and they are very skilled and talented workers. Parts don't design themselves you seem to think that a computer is a magic box that does everything for you that's not the case. The CnC does the actual cutting the artist still has to create the design in 3d for it to work. Props to the cad artists.
